Exposure Risk to Medical Staff in a Nasopharyngeal Swab Sampling Cabin under Four Different Ventilation Strategies

Medical staff working in a nasopharyngeal swab sampling cabin are exposed to higher exposure risk of COVID-19. In this study, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) used evaluate the medical Chinese customs under four different ventilation strategies, i.e., multiple supply fans (MSFV), exhaust (MEFV), single fan and outer windows closed (SEFV), opened (SEFV-W). The impact physical partitions on is also discussed. results show that MSFV performed best reducing risk. No significant difference was found between MEFV SEFV. SEFV-W better than SEFV with rate 10–50 L/(s∙Person), while it worse 50–90 L/(s∙Person). did not decrease linearly increase flow strategies.
